Dancing Classrooms was launched in 1994 as a not-for-profit project of the American Ballroom Theater Company in New York by Pierre Dulaine and Yvonne Marceau.
The program is a distinctive, in-school residency, where students develop essential life skills through the art of social dance. We turn ballroom dance lessons into a fun, dynamic group activity that inspires personal and peer-to-peer growth.
The Dulaine Method of teaching ensures that every student has the support to fully participate. Each class is truly an exercise in teamwork and building self-confidence, all while infusing more joy into the school day. We use the language of dance to connect classrooms and foster effective learning environments.
